Flexible & Fast Automated Connector Assembly
MS Automation was awarded Best in Show for this fully automated machine that assembles two connectors every 1.6 seconds with the ability to accommodate 100+ connector variations.
Featuring 5 SCARA robots from Fanuc America Corporation, the system assembles, inspects, marks, and packs 5 million connectors per year.
Automated Flexibility for High Mix / Low Volume Assembly
MS Automation was recognized for this fully automated assembly machine that has the flexibility to process hundreds of part variants with no manual changeover required.
Servo-actuated nests, tools, fixtures, and robotic grippers with pressure sensing feedback allow for automatic changeover between part variants.
3D Bin Picking for Automated Stud Welding of Stove Gas Caps
This automated machine - designed and built by MS Automation - runs a progressive stud welding process “lights out” for an entire shift or more.
Cutting edge 3D vision guidance allows a 6-axis robot to repeatably pick a single stamped cap from dunnage that holds thousands of loose pieces.
The welding process is built around an indexing dial table that moves caps through a progressive stud welding operation that can handle dozens of "recipes" with little-or-no changeover.
